PasswordFree Desktop Unlock Overview

To increase the security level when working on your Windows PC, you can use a Windows login and password. However, PasswordFree allows you to unlock your workstation without using a password. Learn how you can unlock your Windows PC with the PasswordFree Desktop Unlock feature.

prerequisites

To use the PasswordFree Desktop Unlock feature, the following preconditions are to be fulfilled:

- You should have the PasswordFree desktop app installed on your computer. For more details, see Install the PasswordFree Windows desktop app.

- You should have the PasswordFree mobile app installed on your mobile device. For more details, see PasswordFree mobile app overview.

- You should create and log in to your PasswordFree Profile both on your mobile device and in the PasswordFree desktop app.  For more information on Profile, see Profile.

- You should set up your Windows password. For more information, see Set up your Windows password.

If the above preconditions have been met, go to Enable the PasswordFree Desktop Unlock.
