AppLess authentication

Overview

AppLess authentication is available only under certain conditions.

• The account created without application remains only in the browser where it was registered. When you decide to log in to such AppLess account next time, remember to select the same browser, otherwise, you will have to repeat the registration process. For more details on the registration process, see AppLess registration.
• The account is registered with the help of cookies saved in your browser, thus, if you clean up your cookies, the account data will be lost and you will not be able to log in to your AppLess account.

Sign in to your AppLess account 

1. On the BigCommerce webstore home page, click Sign in.

2. On the authentication page, click Sign in PasswordFree.

Procedure 1: your AppLess account was created in this browser

If the LoginFree option is enabled on the webstore

3. If your account was created in this browser, you are immediately signed in and redirected to the Orders page of your BigCommerce webstore.

If the LoginFree option is disabled on the webstore

4. You are redirected to the Sign in page. Enter your email and click Sign in. You are signed in and redirected to the Orders page of your BigCommerce webstore.

 

Procedure 2: your AppLess account was not created in this browser, but you have account on the same device

5. On the Sign in page, click Open PasswordFree on your desktop PC or tap Open on your mobile device.

6. Your PasswordFree app opens on your desktop or mobile device with Authentication is successful notification. After you close the notification, the Accounts page of the PasswordFree app is displayed with your BigCommerce account.

7. After you return to your BigCommerce webstore in the browser, you are signed in and redirected to the Orders page of your BigCommerce webstore.

Sign in to one of your several appless accounts

 

 

After you have created several AppLess accounts in one and the same browser on the same BigCommerce webstore, you can select the required account to sign in from the list.

Procedure

1. On the authentication page, click Sign in PasswordFree.

2. The list of your AppLess accounts is displayed.

3. Click the account to sign in and after the successful authentication, you are you are signed in and redirected to the Orders page of your BigCommerce webstore.

4. If you do not plan to continue the authentication process, click Cancel  and you are redirected to the authentication page of your BigCommerce webstore.

5. If you neither cancel the authentication, nor select the account to sign in within 5 minutes, the authentication process is terminated and you are redirected to the authentication page of your BigCommerce webstore.
